Gaylen, I will definitely study on the skirt situation. I always wore them when I was thin but have been hanging out in the I-give-up-I'm-an-overweight-mom clothes. I know, it's terrible. Thank you so much for the encouragement.

I am so with you on this. It's hard. I struggle daily with body image and eating. WW works great when you follow the program. The sad thing - eating is not an addiction you can give up! I have been working out like a fiend for the last 6 weeks - weight training and cardio and I'm exactly where I started. So, I continue to plod on - at least I'm not going up. Baby steps, it's all about the baby steps. You can do it!

As for going out and looking well put together - make skirts. Seriously - they are easy (I promise - email me and I'll talk you off the ledge) and always look great. Throw on a tee and some cute shoes and you're well put together wherever you go. You can do this! g

People, has it taken you this long to notice the overwhelming, overabundance of corner donut shops in Texas? They are EVERYWHERE. It was one of the first things that I noticed and one of the first things my brother noticed when he moved to Houston. Not only are there donut shops everywhere, I have it on good word (conspiracy researching husband) that all the donut shops are Vietnamese owned and that there is a Vietnamese donut MAFIA (he says there was an article in the Dallas Observer or NY Times or both...I don't pay THAT much attention to his rambling... . Personally, I could care less who's manufacturing my donut or kolache, as long as it is tasty and made with love.

I really wonder how MS consistently comes in at #1 fattest state, when Texas has to have more donut shops per capita than any place on earth. Mysterious.

We hit our down the street donut shop once a month and hit the Czech Stop in West, Texas each and every time we are traveling 35 N or S. Mighty fine stuff!

Just did a quick search. There are 9 shops in less than 2 miles from our house. 210 shops came up on Yahoo - 17 pages of donut shops! I doubt that accounts for all of them. Really.

Meg, we are surrounded by donut/doughnut shops here. I'd love to have an exact number. There's a reason we are one of the fattest cities. :)
